Run-time considerations

phpMiniMasker is smart about the following when it is processing files…

  • It utilizes platform-specific (Windows/Unix/Mac) vertical line-breaks based on the execution environment.
  • It only processes PHP portions of code, even when the file contains HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • It allows for either style of PHP start tag to be utilized (<?php or <?).
  • It considers PHP’s case-sensitivity toward identifiers of the various object-types.
  • It correctly classifies a variable as being local or global based on its container (function, method, or the global scope) and whether the “global” keyword is utilized in declaring the variable.
